The second of four new framed textile pieces heading to Jupiter Fine Art today. Yes, the feathers have made a comeback due to some requests. Fortunately, I had some single feathers left from previous projects so I could jog my memory as to how I created them. My only issue was with my sewing machine. I had to take out my old Bernina…very old…to sew on the feathers. My newer machine, although claiming to do a thousand and one things, could not be controlled as needed. Once I started on my old friend, things went well. I think I will continue sewing with it for a while…old friends are the best! …from the studio
