Abiquiu Lake Sunset

acrylic on canvas…7×14 inches

I finished this painting last week and love it’s simplicity, both in composition and colorway. Sometimes I feel the image so strongly that it comes alive through my brush…this one did. The clouds are disapating as the storm passes with just one remnant left…a bit of light virga far beyond the horizon. Deep blue and violet shadows edge the lake as the orange glow of the sun reflects off its surface. Can you tell I really like this painting????

Larger than a CEO, but still original and affordable…available here…..

side view…painting continues around the edges
