This piece will find it’s way to Jupiter Fine Art on Monday. It is constructed using industrial felt, zippers, a metal armature, and waxed linen thread. The thread keeps the woven zippers in place to form the “hole”, the bag like shape at the bottom. The felt is tied and intertwined to support the zippers, crowned by a band of very thick felt, adorned with zipper prominences.
Black Hole was the second piece in the Strings Attached Series exhibited in the All Terrain show at the Capitol Rotunda Gallery this summer, but will now be looking for a new home….come see “us” Monday in Madrid…from the studio
