TOPKNOT is a smaller textile piece…9×9…a more neutral piece started with the fabric in the lower right corner. A LONG time ago, I ordered black fabric that discharged to white, or, if you halted the process a bit sooner, to a lovely cream color. I used that fabric in many pieces over the years, but when I went to reorder, it was no longer available. I seem to have that kind of luck! SO…I am using what I have left very judiciously. This piece came together smoothly, following the lead of the cream and black block. When something just speaks to you as an artist, you can’t go wrong…from the studio
