I Like You Too!

I LIKE YOU TOO! is a new addition to the AVIARY in my online shop, an acrylic painting on canvas 24x24x1.5 inches.

I textured the background with a generous application of gesso and then layered, layered, and LAYERED with acrylic paint, each complimenting, and then obscuring, the previous layer. The result is a subtly nuanced surface that suggests a dreamy landscape…a shy bird with gentle eyes…a slightly flirty response. Two examples of the texture:

A few of the ravens on canvas (that are now available in the AVIARY) are now on my studio wall…looking good…keeping me company….from the studio
