THINGS CHANGE

Palette knife painting on canvas…4×12
Palette knife on paper…5×5, double mat, framed under glass

Oh how things change! These two pieces are sitting in silence at Tapestry Gallery in Madrid, NM because non-essential businesses are now closed in New Mexico, at least until November 30. It is understandable because the virus numbers are high and seem to be getting higher all the time. Something had to change.

Oh how things change! In a previous post, I noted that my work was accepted into the miniature show at the New Mexico League of Art in Albuquerque, but in accordance with the new Health Order, this show is also cancelled because the league is a non-essential business and is closed. Something had to change.

Well, I decided I needed to change strategies also and adapt to this new situation. In reality, I think this shutdown will last much longer than the end of the month.

For the past few weeks, I have been working on smaller paintings to place in the gallery beginning Thanksgiving weekend for holiday gift giving and feel they are wonderful for gifts for almost anyone. SO….I think I came up with a solution…more to come…after Thanksgiving…from the studio

Stay well…
