ABIQUIÚ LAND

ABIQUIÚ LAND…palette knife acrylic…12×36

This week has just flown by! I completed two palette knife paintings and am really enjoying working this way. The above, ABIQUIÚ LAND, came together rather quickly. I am seemingly stuck on working with a colorful palette and am loving the results. These colors just make me happy and, with the pandemic rearing its ugly head again, it’s good to be happy.

ELK CREEK…palette knife acrylic..8×8

The second piece, ELK CREEK, has a more subdued palette and more texture on the surface. I did more color blending on the canvas, so many more knife edges show. There are many layers throughout the painting and it begs to be touched. There certainly won’t be a “Do Not Touch” sign on this one!…from the studio
