My quilt, Everyman’s Red Carpet, has been accepted into the Cultural Red exhibit at the Capitol Rotunda in Santa Fe, NM. The gallery space in the state Capitol building is lovely and the show is always hung beautifully. I am thrilled to be included! All the quilts in this show are created by SAQA New Mexico members.

This quilt is 38X56 inches, whole cloth painted with applied painted leaves. It is a departure in design for me, but not in technique. I have not done a landscape in a very long time.

The opening reception for the exhibit is April 17, 2015 from 3-5pm at the Rotunda. The show continues through mid-August…a must see…from the studio

  1. Sue, I have been a fan of your work since first seeing you at an art show in Corning NY. I have several of your pieces from that show and am happy to see that you are still creating beautiful textiles in NM. I hope to make it there in the next couple months and will visit your new space!
This current piece-Everyman’s Red Carpet-is breathtaking! Can only imagine the amount of work that went into it. Congratulations!

    1. Denise, thank you for still enjoying my work. Corning seems so long ago! I hope to see you in New Mexico. Let me know when you want to visit, and I will be sure to be there. Sue
