It’s a new year and time to get back to the studio. Those of you who know me realize that I have been suffering with arthritis for years. This fall, I had bilateral hip replacement, so I can now move freely and finally get back to work. It has been wonderful!
I will show you…soon…what I have been working on for the past few weeks. Until then…SOME NEWS.
I will be teaching at ART QUILT SANTA FE this spring. I did the piece pictured above in 2006, but it shows the stitching technique I will teach in a one day workshop on April 23, 2015. This class will explore the use of line, drawn with thread in various sizes and textures, to convey an image or an abstract design on your quilt. A sewing machine with adjustable tension is required. In the morning, we will explore the use of different stabilizers and stitches, and in the afternoon, you will do a small sketch, with thread. You may take my workshop individually, or along with a three day workshop taught by Carol Ann Waugh. Come on…who doesn’t enjoy spring in Santa Fe?

Absolutely beautiful. Better than a photo.
Thank you, both for the kind words and for visiting my blog. Sue
You’re quite welcome, Sue. Laura
Beautiful piece, and great offering for your class , I don’t understand how your new day class can cost the same as a three or four day class… If your new day class has a lesser fee, I would be intrigued to share a day with you! Let me know! Cheers!Patty Sent from my iPad

Patty, the site seems unclear. The charge for the class is $150. The only place I found that information is on the registration page, on the pull down menu. I will ask that this information be made more visible on the site. Would love to have you attend! Sue
