Oh happy days is right…on many levels. I am very pleased with the way this quilt turned out. I feel I incorporated all the processes I have been working on over the past months into this piece. From painting the cotton, to developing the “snipping technique” used first on the feathers, then the grasses, THEN the fringe in Oscar Night Party…I can use them all to create a piece that fulfills my desire to have a similar voice in my art, be they paintings or quilts.
Lines and circles. I have the next quilt in this series painted and pieced and ready to quilt. Lines and circles AND texture…AND color…for now, I am where I want to be and am enjoying working in this style.
This quilt has found a new home where I think it will be very happy…oh happy days!…from the studio
It’s beautiful! I love your work, for sure!
