I have been painting everyday for a while and delivered five new paintings to Mostly Madrid this week. I was fortunate that NIGHT LIGHT sold before it even hit the wall. I love the dark sky in this piece and have ideas for a few more paintings using this night sky, maybe a small series. I’m excited to get started.

The horizontal format of RIO GRANDE FLOW is a favorite of mine. It is a size that is not too large, not too small and lends itself to very calm landscape images. This particular painting has a sunny warmth…a slight breeze…a long view…some of the things that I appreciate about living in New Mexico. This view could be through a window in northern New Mexico…lovely.
While not painting, I have been spending my time quilting, painting fabric, discharging linen, taking an online course and taking an in person course on basketry…a good life, fully immersed in my art! The quilts are headed to a show in Los Alamos in May…more info to follow.…from the studio

Love the light in these. What online class are you taking? Cynthia
Online with Lorna Crane with Fiber Arts Take Two. It’s fairly interesting. I’m not all the way through, so I don’t have a full opinion yet. Thanks for the kind words on the paintings! Sue
