ANTIBODY…finished

ANTIBODY…acrylic and vellum on canvas…20×20

ANTIBODY is the second smaller piece in the COVID series. It is the same size as MUTATION and plays quite well with it…a purposeful consideration.

I discovered this canvas when I was “rearranging” my supply closet…I can’t say cleaning out…just making the same items fit a bit better. I had under painted it two years ago for a different series, but never finished. When I gave it a second look, I immediately knew what I wanted to do. The small “nubules” that edge the circle, the virus, became the antibodies in action…attacking and defeating. I didn’t want to distract from that action, so the text had to be very quiet and transparent.

I want to enjoy this piece a while longer before I move on to the next…stay happy and calm…from the studio

    1. Thank you Carolyn! I am pleased with how it turned out. Sometimes things go easily…sometimes not. I am sure you know what I mean. I hope you are doing some interesting artwork to keep yourself busy…stay well, Sue
