I am painting, cutting, and folding again. I started with white Pima cotton for the first set of boats I made for I’m All Tied Up at the Moment. This time I started with a batik fabric and washed it with acrylic to give it enough body to hold the folds. All will be covered with the second and third coats of paint. Hopefully the coffee will keep me moving along until this batch is finished.
These boats are more shallow and longer than my first set…a new design in mind…all in preparation for a pop-up show in Silver City in March….more about that later…from the studio
Looks great. I’ll call you tomorrow to discuss the project.
