I am back at work in the studio again, mainly because I have my studio back again. This past month has been dictated by a total kitchen remodel…finished and fabulous, beyond my expectations. During this time, my studio became our field kitchen for cooking…worked out very well…but no room for “arting”. I did a few small landscapes for the holidays at Jupiter Fine Arts, a size that I could create on a small table in the living room, among the boxes of kitchen supplies, packed up until they could return to the new cabinets. Everything is now complete and fully functioning, so I returned my paints and easel to the studio and can now do some larger artwork.
The first two paintings I did in this space were for my living room. The kitchen lightness needed to be reflected in the living room, so away with the old, and in with the new…two 5×4 foot paintings hanging next to each other, done in much softer, neutral colors. I so enjoyed working large again!
I am now starting on larger landscape paintings to show in a different gallery in Madrid. The remaining small ones will move and Jupiter will only feature my textile work and sculptures…Here are a few more of the smaller landscapes available at Jupiter in Madrid, all under $100…still at holiday pricing…from the studio
