Since I last posted, I completed six smaller, 8×10 inch, constructions using various materials and colors. This is a piece that I finished today. I wanted to show this one first as it continues the series incorporating rust dyed paper. All these constructions will be framed in acrylic shadow boxes…just as the larger ones are…to protect the paper and fabrics from dust or damage.
I have been creating these pieces two at a time, using similar colors and materials. The one below is the companion to the one above. Of course, I plan to sell each individually, but I will hang a collection of six or eight pieces in a nice grid pattern when they are displayed in the gallery.

This third construction has its own colorway, with only a bit of the rust dyed paper. I have a photo of this one in the acrylic box…not too many reflections. They look lovely once framed. Which is your favorite so far?

Next time, the color blue takes the stage….from the studio

Very,very NICE.
Thank you…I am having fun with them. I want to continue exploring different layering techniques and different manipulations of the same basic supplies. Always a new day! Sue
