I am continuing to use my painted and printed fabric to create more totems, but am trying a few different types of embellishments. In this one, the central element is a beautifully patinated copper strip. I tried to capture the variation in color with the camera…it is close, but more striking in person.
The shadow of a tree, a rocky shore, a flowing river and the depths of the earth…from top to bottom, a night passage… following the path of the copper paving.
The next step was to see if I could incorporate the woven fabric into these narrower pieces. I think it worked well on this one entitled TWISTS and TURNS. Sometimes it takes time to figure out what you see in your mind…from the studio

You go girl! They look good.
Thank you…I am excited to try some more!
