I had a wonderful time printing fabric yesterday. It had been a while and I forgot how much I enjoyed it…I also forgot how to achieve some of my favorite effects, but persistence paid off and the process slowly returned. I have my favorites, overprinted many times, and discovered late yesterday how I am going to use these.
As you have seen, I use the painted canvases for my small textile embroideries. Well, these larger pieces will be large textile embroideries, but with much less stitching. I want to let the fabric speak for itself. I am anxious to finish a few to see if they turn out as I envision. The next two are in the running for my favorites. I will post the finished pieces soon…from the studio
