THE TADPOLE FIRE in the Gila NM

THE TADPOLE FIRE…in the GILA NM…acrylic on canvas…24×24

I was quite surprised to find a gallery in Madrid had sold some of my large landscape paintings this month. I didn’t realize art buyers were out and about considering the limited openings here in New Mexico, but people are home and looking to redecorate.

The Tadpole Fire burning in the Gila National Forest in southern New Mexico is the influence for this painting. I completed a second piece on the fire which I will share in another post. This painting and two others are heading to Tapestry Gallery in Madrid tomorrow…from the studio
