You are my Sunshine

Yesterday was rather overcast, so this painting brightened up the day at the gallery walk and found a new home.  It is recent, done with the same layering technique as I have used in other paintings.  Much of the texture in the upper half of the piece is provided by a few coats of gesso under the paint.  I hope this painting adds a little sunshine to your day!…from the studio
